KU stays atop college basketball polls; K-State enters top 10 in one

Kansas held its top spot in both major polls, and Kansas State reached the top 10 in one ranking.

The Jayhawks, coming off a resounding victory at Temple, have been ranked first every week this season. The Wildcats have steadily climbed throughout the year.

K-State is No. 10 in the USA Today coaches poll and No. 11 in the Associated Press poll. K-State was twelve in both last week.

Texas remained second in both polls. Texas Tech remained in the AP poll but fell out of the coaches' ranking. Texas A&M, Baylor and Oklahoma State received votes. Big 12 play begins Saturday.
