A passerby took a man to Wesley Medical Center early Saturday after he was attacked by five other men outside a convenience store, police said.
The victim, 34, was attacked after walking out of the QuikTrip at Maple and West streets at about 1:30 a.m., said Sgt. Jeff Davis of the Wichita Police Department.
A witness came to the man's aid, kicking one of the attackers, who then ran off. Davis said the witness took the victim to Wesley, where he was treated for head and facial lacerations and minor stab wounds and released.
