WICHITA — The man who was arrested after driving more than 100 mph on East Kellogg Friday and crashing into a pickup east of Rock Road could be charged later this week, police said today.
The 29-year-old man was clocked by police going more than 100 mph shortly before 11 a.m., authorities have said. He continued east at a high rate of speed and crashed into a second pickup stopped at the traffic light at Cypress.
Neither motorist was seriously injured. The force of the crash sent the second pickup airborne, and it rolled more than once.
The speeding driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries and then booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
