Kansas State guard Jacob Pullen was named Big 12 player of the week, and Kansas freshman guard Xavier Henry won the league’s rookie award.
Pullen averaged 22 points in victories over Xavier and UNLV. He hit a career-best seven three-pointers on his way to 28 points at UNLV. For the week Pullen was 9-of-17 from behind the arc.
Henry won the award for the second time. He scored 31 points in the Jayhawks’ victory over La Salle and averaged 22 points and 3.5 rebounds for the week.
