WICHITA — After hitting a low of about 27 degrees this morning, temperatures in the Wichita area will reach the upper 50s today.
The high will be about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year, said Jerilyn Billings, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wichita.
The rest of the forecast: Tonight — temperatures in the low 30s to just below freezing. Tuesday — a high in the mid- to upper 50s.
But Tuesday is expected to be the last mild day of the work week, Billings said.
The weather will begin turning much colder starting Tuesday night. For Wednesday, expect a high in the upper 30s, which would be about 10 degrees below normal. It will be cold again Thursday and Friday.
