COLUMBIA | On Missouri’s first couple of possessions, the Tigers seemed to be having trouble passing the basketball inside against Tennessee-Chattanooga.
No problem. Mizzou spent the rest of the first half shooting three-point shots over the Mocs, hitting 12 on the way to a 59-28 lead at the break.
Missouri took 36 shots in the half and 22 of them were threes. Kim English hit four of the eight he attempted and led the Tigers in scoring with 21 points.
At one point, the public address announcer at Mizzou Arena couldn’t help rubbing it in, barking out:
“Welcome to English class!”
The Tigers didn’t forget about defense either. Chattanooga turned the ball over 16 times in the first 20 minutes and 14 of those came on steals by Missouri.
