I-70 closed from the Kansas border to Denver

DENVER | The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 70 from Denver to the Kansas border because of blowing snow.

The highway was shut down Thursday afternoon as a powerful wintry storm continued moving east. Authorities also closed U.S. 24 from Colorado Springs to Limon.

In northern Colorado, Interstate 25 from Fort Collins to the Wyoming line was closed because of closures in Wyoming.
