Woman's car rammed; boyfriend arrested

WICHITA — A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday after his girlfriend reported he had rammed her car in south Wichita and then chased her for several miles down K-42 at speeds topping 85 mph.

The 29-year-old woman reported that the confrontation began at about 2:30 p.m. when the man rammed her car while she was driving near 31st Street South and Hydraulic. She sped away trying to escape him, but he pursued her, according to police.

The chase ended about 15 miles away in the 11000 block of West K-42, when authorities took him into custody at 3:05 p.m.

The woman's 3-year-old son was with her in the car. They were not injured in the chase.
