Piper students back in class after bomb threat

Students at Piper High School in Kansas City, Kan., are back in class after an early morning bomb threat at the campus.

School officials called police about 7:30 this morning. An administrator had discovered a threatening note saying there was a bomb. Police responded as students were beginning to arrive at school, said officer Jackie Waters of the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department.

The building was evacuated, and police found nothing inside. Students later returned to class.
