LAWRENCE, Kan. | The University of Kansas is asking students for help on how to address alcohol abuse on campus.
The school says any student may join a committee to help form an alcohol abuse policy. The committee's next meeting scheduled for Oct. 22.
After two alcohol-related deaths at the university last semester, administrators suggested a policy that would have allowed housing officials to enter the rooms of students who they suspected may be drinking alcohol.
That would have led to a change in university policy, so the new committee was formed. Now, the committee is soliciting ideas and suggestions from students.
