WICHITA — Break out the fry bread and salsa!
Beginning Tuesday, the Mid-America All-Indian Center will again be selling Indian tacos.
The tacos can be purchased on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
"We are excited to be offering Indian tacos," said Paula Langworthy, chairman of the center's board of trustees. "It is a true sign of the renewed strength and stability of the MAIC. We hope the Wichita community will once again embrace this longtime Wichita tradition."

Five years ago, the city of Wichita briefly closed the center to remove many of its programs, cut staff and revamp the organization. Since then, center officials have worked at reintroducing the center to Wichita.
The Indian tacos, which will be sold for $6 each, are large pieces of fry bread topped with meat, beans, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and salsa. Drinks and dessert will also be available at the center to purchase separately.
