WICHITA — The annual Kansas Firefighters Museum parade and memorial ceremony is planned for the weekend of October 10-11.
The parade begins at 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at Broadway and Pawnee and proceeds north to Lincoln.
It will include a color guard, antique vehicles and fire engines and a 1902 horse-drawn steam pumper.
In addition, the South Central Neighborhood Fall Festival will be in Lincoln Park after the parade. The festival includes free games, hot dogs, entertainment and admission to the Firefighters' Museum, which is located at 1300 S. Broadway.
Beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, there will be the Kansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony. The event will include free admission to the museum.
