Suspect charged in 2 Jefferson City deaths

JEFFERSON CITY | A Jefferson City man has been charged in the killings of a man and woman at an apartment less than a mile from the Missouri Statehouse.

David R. Hosier is accused of shooting 45-year-old Angela Gilpin and 61-year-old Rodney Gilpin multiple times on Monday at Angela Gilpin’s apartment.

Cole County prosecutor Mark Richardson charged Hosier on Tuesday with two counts of first-degree murder.

The 54-year-old suspect lived in an apartment building directly behind the building where the killings occurred. Authorities say Angela Gilpin had complained that Hosier was stalking her.

Hosier is being held in Oklahoma’s Cherokee County. Oklahoma troopers arrested him Monday about seven hours after the deaths were discovered.
