Suburban St. Louis police officer may have assaulted more women, FBI says

ST. LOUIS | An FBI agent has testified that a suburban St. Louis police officer charged with attacking a woman may also have robbed 10 prostitutes and sexually assaulted at least three.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the development came during a federal court hearing Tuesday to determine whether 31-year-old Uplands Park officer Leon Pullen should be held until trial.

Special Agent Greg LaCombe testified Pullen was arrested Saturday after agents feared he might assault more women.

Pullen has been charged with one count of violating civil rights under the color of law, for attacking one woman. That woman told the FBI that Pullen responded to an online ad on July 15, assaulted her and took her money.

A phone call to Pullen's public defender was not immediately returned.
