Man pleads not guilty to aiding cover up in 1990 Leavenworth County murder

A Missouri man has pleaded not guilty to aiding in the cover up of a 1990 murder in Leavenworth County.

Seventy-five-year-old Eric L. Montgomery entered his plea Friday in Leavenworth County District Court.

Montgomery is accused of helping a felon, Everett Bishop, dispose of the body of Lloyd Folsom near Bonner Springs in April, 1990.

Prosecutors say Bishop was later killed by Sherrill Gary Brinkley. Folsom's body has never been found.

During Brinkley's trial, Montgomery testified under immunity that he was present at the murders of Folsom and Bishop, but did not kill either man.
