Monday's classes at Harrisonville High School are canceled while damage from a Friday morning fire is being repaired.
Although the fire was contained to a custodial closet, eight classrooms and hallway areas of the school experienced heavy smoke damage, according to the school district's Web site.
Everyone was safely evacuated when the fire was discovered shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. Classes were canceled for the rest of the day.
Classes at all other Harrisonville schools are not affected, according to the district.
