Shooting at KC party injures four

Kansas City detectives are trying to determine what led to the shooting of four people this morning in the south-central part of the city.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. today in the vicinity of 78th Street and the Paseo where a large number of people had gathered for a house party.

Police said that shots were fired after some sort of altercation. The four victims were all taken to the hospital by private vehicle. One person was reported in critical condition. Injuries of the other three were reportedly not life threatening.

No suspect information was available.
