Second Missouri jail officer faces charges of having sex with inmates

BENTON, Mo. | A second Scott County Jail officer has been charged with having sex with two female prisoners at the jail.

Prosecutors charged 41-year-old Ronald A. Baker of Sikeston on Monday with sexual misconduct and sexual contact with a prisoner.

The Southeast Missourian reports that the alleged incidents were discovered during an investigation of allegations made against another former corrections officer, Michael Proctor.

Proctor was arrested last week and charged with having sexual contact with a prisoner.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said Monday that he believes Baker and Proctor were the only two participants in the incidents.
