Kansas State's ROTC program has record group

MANHATTAN | Kansas State officials say enrollment in the university's Army ROTC program has set a record this fall.

The school says 165 cadets entered the program this fall. The program has grown about 40 percent since 2006.

Lt. Col Scott Bridegam, head of the university's Army ROTC program, says success of the program's graduates has helped recruit cadets.

And he says more scholarships are available. And he says the ROTC program is helped by Kansas State's proximity to Fort Riley.
