Motor Mouth Wireless robbed for second night in a row

For the second time in two nights — and at almost the exact same time of night — the Motor Mouth Wireless store on East 21st Street was robbed, police said.

A black woman in her late 20s came into the store at 2251 E. 21st St. shortly before 8 p.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanded money from the register and left with an undisclosed amount, police said.

The robber was about 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds and was wearing a white T-shirt and gray sweat pants, the clerk told police. Her black hair had gold highlights in it.

She drove off in a four-door Nissan.

On Tuesday, a teenage man came into the store at about 7:50 p.m., pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. He left with an undisclosed amount.

He was still at large today, police said.

Authorities do not believe the two robberies are connected.
