Overland Park police seek shoplifting suspect

Overland Park police are asking for help in identifying a shoplifter who took items from an Oak Park Mall store and faces a possible felony charge.

The woman stole a purse and cologne on July 29, police said, but she removed the store’s electronic theft detection devices to do it, and that makes the crime a felony under Kansas law.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
