Cycling stars Cavendish, Hincapie, Rogers to race in Tour of Missouri

The Tour of Missouri got some star power when Team Columbia-HTC announced its tour roster would include Mark Cavendish, Michael Rogers and George Hincapie.

Cavendish, of Britain, is a six-time Tour de France stage winner and won three stages in the 2008 Tour of Missouri. Rogers, of Australia, is a three-time world champion.

Hincapie, who won the first Tour of Missouri in 2007, broke his collarbone in the Tour de France last month and a decision on whether he will ride in Missouri will be made at the end of August.

The Tour of Missouri starts Sept. 7 in St. Louis and continues with stages throughout the state, ending Sept. 13 in Kansas City.
