WICHITA — An increase in business robberies this year has prompted Wichita police to schedule a pair of meetings with business owners on Friday.
The meetings will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Taiwan Restaurant, 2140 W. 21st St., and at 4 p.m. at the Looney Bin Comedy Club, 6140 E. 21st St.
Business robberies around the city are up 9 percent in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, spokesman Gordon Bassham said. Both meetings will focus on how businesses can prevent crime through environmental design.
