The Independence home where actress/dancer Ginger Rogers was born is up for sale but attracting little initial interest.
Rogers was born in the small, one-story home on July 16, 1911. She spent only a few weeks there before her family moved to her grandparents' home in Kansas City. But she visited the home in 1994 when the city officially recognized it as her birthplace.
Larry LaGrece, a realtor trying to sale the home, says even the asking price of only $20,000 hasn't attracted buyers.
He says he's not sure if that's because younger buyers don't know who Rogers was, the condition of the house, or the current struggles in the housing market.
