Two lanes of U.S. 69 in Overland Park reopen to traffic

Some good news for U.S. 69 commuters traveling through Overland Park.

Work crews have opened the highway back to two northbound lanes between I-435 and I-35 so your commute should be a little easier. Keep in mind, the southbound side is still down to one lane in that area so the afternoon rush hour figures to bad. The southound lanes should be back open to two lanes by Wednesday afternoon.

Later this week, the ramp from southbound U.S. 69 to eastbound College Boulevard will close Friday for resurfacing. Also closing will be be the ramp from northbound 69 to eastbound and westbound College. Both ramps wll be closed all weekend starting at 7:30 Friday night.
