Victim of homicide found in KCK

Kansas City, Kan., police discovered a homicide victim early Sunday.

The body was found near 40th Street and Haskell Avenue around 10:40 a.m.

The victim, a white male, was found lying in the grass. Cause of death was not immediately known.

He was described as 5 feet, 8 inches and weighing 135 pounds, with a tattoo on his right shoulder and one on his inner left forearm.

Police said victim had not been positively identified, and his name would not be released until the family is notified.
