It's official: Chiefs are headed to St. Joseph for training camp

The deal's done.

The Chiefs are bringing their training camp back to Missouri - and specifically St. Joseph.

Gov. Jay Nixon is headed to the campus of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph this afternoon to announce the final results of the negotiations.

Under the new agreement, the Chiefs will commit to bringing their training camp to Missouri for a minimum of 10 years. They will also contribute $10 million in proceeds from the sale of tax incentives to help Missouri Western construct a new athletic facility on its campus.

The deal will be outlined during a 1:45 p.m. news conference.
