Fox 4 will show KU's Insight Bowl game

LAWRENCE | Kansas fans worried about being able to watch the KU football team in the Insight Bowl on Dec. 31 don’t have to worry any longer.

Kansas associate athletics director for external relations Jim Marchiony said on Tuesday afternoon that the Insight Bowl and the NFL Network have agreed to allow Fox 4 in Kansas City to broadcast the game, which will pit the Jayhawks against the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 4 p.m. central time.

“We want to thank the NFL Network and the Insight Bowl for making this happen,” Marchiony said. “It’s important to us that our fans who can’t make the trip are able to watch this important game.”

Marchiony said discussions are ongoing to make the game available to stations across the state of Kansas.
