Missouri will meet Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.The first rematch in title game history was ensured when the Sooners finished ahead of Texas in the BCS standing released on Sunday.
Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech finished in a three-team tie for first in the South Division with 7-1 records and the league’s first four tie breakers couldn’t separate the teams.
It came to the fifth tie-breaker - the BCS standing. Oklahoma is second in the ranking, behind top-ranked Alabama. Texas is third and Florida fourth.
The Longhorns missed out on coming to Kansas City by the narrowest of margins. They were ranked ahead of Oklahoma in the Harris Poll and one point behind the Sooners in the USA Today poll of coaches.

But Oklahoma held enough of a lead in the average of the six computer polls, the standing’s final component.Although Texas defeated the Sooners during the regular season, Oklahoma’s fast finish capped by Saturday’s 61-41 victory at Oklahoma State - provided the edge.
Last season in San Antonio, Oklahoma defeated the Tigers 38-17. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime before the Sooners pulled away.
