Gunman at large after wounding one during argument

Kansas City police today are looking for a gunman who shot a 24-year-old man during an argument Sunday night.

A bullet struck the victim in the lower spine. He was expected to survive.

The shooting occurred about 5:35 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of E. 39th Street. Witnesses told police the victim was arguing with two men in a backyard when one man pulled a gun and fired.

The men fled in a car and the victim's father drove him to a hospital.
