A sport-utility vehicle ran off the street and smashed into a house early today.
The SUV clipped the corner of the house at 118th Street and Corrington Avenue about 1:40 a.m. and continued along the house, causing damage to the siding.
The homeowner was not injured. A witness saw two men, who appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s, fleeing the wreckage.
Police said the driver lost control on a curve in the street in front of the house and may have been speeding. The SUV had not been reported stolen, said police Sgt. Rod Gentry. Gentry said officers tried without success to find the SUV owner overnight. Officers then requested a tow truck haul the wrecked SUV to the city's tow lot.
