Northland DUI checkpoint leads to arrests

A DUI checkpoint late Saturday night and early Sunday morning at U.S. 169 and Lou Holland Drive led to the arrest of 15 people for driving under the influence.

The Kansas City Police Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol stopped 2,541 northbound vehicles, according to police. Police also made arrests at the checkpoint for possession of a controlled substance, outstanding warrants, hazardous moving violation and three other traffic charges.
