The Kansas Health Institute has released a report card evaluating the overall health in each of Kansas' 105 counties.
The good news? Johnson County ranked third.
The bad news? Wyandotte County ranked 105th. Yes, out of 105.
As in the worst.
The KHI calculated the rankings by looking at statistics like birth weight, air quality, socio-economic factors, obesity, overall mortality, access to health care, smoking rates, etc.
Wyandotte got terrible marks for socio-economic health factors like education, income and social support networks. It also got dinged for higher rates of smoking, alcohol use and risky behaviors, health care access and preventative care.
