Missouri woman dies after swerving to avoid deer

A northern Missouri woman died Saturday night when she swerved the jeep she was driving to avoid a deer, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

The victim, Angela D. Brown, 34, of Trenton, was driving on a gravel road in Grundy County about 8:50 p.m. Saturday when she swerved and lost control of the vehicle. She and a 13-year-old passenger were both ejected from the vehicle, according to the patrol.

It was not known if they were wearing seat belts. The teen was taken to the hospital, but no condition report was available.
