KANSAS CITY | Philadelphia Eagles senior vice president Mark Donovan will now fill a similar role for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Donovan on Thursday was named the Chiefs' executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will direct the team's business operations and report to president Denny Thum.
Donovan also worked in business operations with the Eagles, leading efforts in such areas as sponsorship sales and services, television and radio production, and ticket sales.
He was the NFL's senior director of sales and marketing before joining the Eagles.
Thum says Donovan will be a "great asset" to the Chiefs as the team makes the transition to its renovated stadium.
Donovan, a Pittsburgh native, says he looks forward to "being part of the next chapter in Chiefs history."
