St. Louis casino closes due to flood waters

ST. LOUIS | The President Casino in St. Louis has temporarily shut down again due to the flooding Mississippi River.

The closing marks the second time this year, but the fifth time in the last 13 months, that the casino has been forced to temporarily close due to flooding.

Casino management says they suspended operations Tuesday while they wait for minor floodwaters to recede after heavy rains. The river is expected to crest Wednesday afternoon about 3 feet above flood stage in St. Louis.

The President is located on the Admiral riverboat and is owned by Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment Inc.
