Kansas City police and the Missouri Highway Patrol stopped 1,149 vehicles Friday night at a sobriety checkpoint by the downtown airport and made 20 DUI arrests.
The checkpoint was conducted from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. at 169 Highway and Lou Holland Drive.
Other violations found at the checkpoint: one case of felony possession of marijuana, nine cases of driving with a suspended or revoked license, two other traffic charges, one seat belt charge, two state warrants and 21 city warrants.
