ST. LOUIS | The Mississippi River is about 2 feet above flood stage in St. Louis, but that's enough to shut down a major attraction.
The President Casino closed Sunday due to high water. The casino sits just north of the Gateway Arch.
The river was expected to crest early Monday at 2.4 feet above flood stage in St. Louis. The Mississippi was above flood stage at several other spots in Missouri. The Missouri River was also above flood stage at several points, including Jefferson City, Washington and St. Charles.
The hydrological forecast calls for the rivers to begin falling.
