Second body found at Missouri state park

TROY, Mo. | For the second time in three days, a body has been discovered in Cuivre River State Park near the eastern Missouri town of Troy, though officials don't believe the two cases are connected.

The second body was found in a ditch about 5 a.m. Friday by a passer-by. Lincoln County authorities haven't yet determined if the body was that of a man or a woman.

The St. Louis Area Major Case Squad was already investigating the discovery of the first body on Wednesday. That victim was identified as 28-year-old Nicole Tayon of Winfield. An autopsy revealed no signs of trauma, and investigators aren't yet sure how she died.

Officials say there is no evidence of a connection. The bodies were discovered about 10 miles apart in the sprawling park about 50 miles north of St. Louis.
