Kansas City police have not determined the cause of death of a man whose body was found earlier today in a creek along Ward Parkway and Shawnee Mission Parkway.
Just after 9 a.m., a jogger passing in the area saw the body of a man floating in Brush Creek. Police and fire crews immediately responded, said police spokesman Capt. Rich Lockhart.
Investigators said the victim appears to be a white male in his 60s. It is unknown how long the male had been in the water. The investigation is ongoing, but nothing at this point has led police to suspect foul play, Lockhart said.
