ST. LOUIS | A new Families USA report says 1.5 million Missourians, or nearly one in three non-elderly state residents, was uninsured for some period in 2007-'08.
The group says nearly 1.1 million of those Missourians, or 72 percent of the total, were uninsured for six months or more in the two-year period.
The figure is based on data from the Census Bureau and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
The group, which advocates for affordable health care for Americans, says the Missouri figure reflects the national trend.
