Robber in Lawrence punches victim for lack of loot

Lawrence Police are investigating an early morning robbery in which victims say the suspect got mad after not getting enough loot.

According to a police release, three Lawrence residents were near 11th and Vermont streets around 1 a.m. when a man armed with a knife demanded their wallets. Not everyone apparently had one to hand over.

"The suspect punched one of the victims after obtaining only one wallet," the release stated.

The suspect then ran off. He's described as a white male, in his late 20s, and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He had a goatee and was wearing a brown hoodie, victims told police.
