Three killed in mid-Missouri crash

IBERIA, Mo. | Three people are dead after a pickup truck overturned several times Tuesday on Missouri 17 in central Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday when the truck had a tire failure. James W. Roark, 35, of Jefferson City, lost control of the truck he was driving and ran off the left side of the road. The truck hit a ditch and overturned several times.

The patrol identified the victims as Roark; Thomas H. Green, 36, of Holts Summit; and Trenton N. Jiles, 27, of Jefferson City.

The patrol said none of the four occupants of the truck were wearing seat belts.

The crash's sole survivor, Paul J. Kremer, 22, of Jefferson City, was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with serious injuries.
