Man charged with shooting 29 cattle in Missouri

MACON, Mo. | A Northeast Missouri man faces charges of property damage and armed criminal action for the alleged shooting of 29 cattle.

Fifty-two-year-old Larry C. McFarland of Novinger is accused of shooting to death 26 of the cattle on Jan. 12 in Macon County.

Three survived.

McFarland already is in custody on other charges. Bond in the Macon County case has been set at $25,000.
