I-35 drivers will run into a construction roadbloack this week in southwest Johnson County.
Starting tonight, the northbound lanes of I-35 will be closed from U.S. 56 in Gardner to U.S. 169 in Olathe so crews can erect girders for the new Lone Elm Road interchange.
The closure starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. Thursday. The lane closures will be repeated at the same time overnight Thursday.
A third closure will start at 10 p.m. Friday but extend to 8 a.m. Saturday. The closure will repeat Saturday night, but end at 10 a.m. Sunday.
