MU, KU players earn Big 12 honors

Tonight's Border War showdown matches the latest winners of the Big 12's weekly awards.

Missouri's DeMarre Carroll was named player of the week Monday after his monster game at Iowa State on Saturday. Carroll scored a career-best 31 points and added nine rebounds and five assists.

Sharing the newcomer of the week honor are Missouri's Zaire Taylor and Kansas' Mario Little. Taylor went for 17 at Texas, including the game-winner on a drive with 5.5 seconds remaining. Little came up big in pair of Kansas victories, at Baylor and against Oklahoma State. He averaged 12.5 points and four rebounds in those games. The Tigers play host to Kansas tonight at 8 p.m., on ESPN.
