MEXICO, Mo. | A man and woman are facing drug charges after two children stumbled across a working methamphetamine lab in a wooded area near a Missouri apartment complex.
The Highway Patrol said Tuesday Julia Ricks of Mexico, Mo., and Kurt Johnson of Rineyville, Ky., were arrested at a Mexico apartment on multiple drug charges. The also face four child endangerment counts for the children who found the lab and two kids in the home when the arrests were made.
Ricks and Johnson are charged with attempting to manufacture methamphetamine, as well as possession of meth, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bail was expected to be set in Audrain County Court Tuesday.
