K-State baseball squad plays for first trip to Big 12 championship game

OKLAHOMA CITY | Kansas State has opportunity in its hands tonight.

If the Wildcats beat Baylor in a game that is scheduled to start around 8:35 p.m. at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, K-State will advance to its first-ever Big 12 baseball tournament championship game. That scenario was made possible when Oklahoma State beat Nebraska 11-5 on Saturday evening.

But if K-State loses, Oklahoma State will advance and face Texas for the championship at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Longhorns made it to the title game by beating Oklahoma 11-10 in the first game of the day. Missouri had a shot at playing for the championship, but it lost to Texas A&M 6-2, which sent Texas to the final.
