American Airlines, which nationally cancelled thousands of flights this week to inspect its MD-80 aircraft fleet, was back to normal operations at Kansas City International Airport by 10:30 a.m. today.
Charlie Wilson, a spokesman for Fort Worth-based American, said two flights were cancelled from KCI this morning, an 8:30 a.m. flight to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and a 10:10 a.m. flight to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
Since Tuesday, American had cancelled about 3,000 flights affecting more than 300,000 passengers and had cancelled dozens of flights from KCI.
