Texas tramples Oklahoma, gains spot in Sunday's championship game

Texas surged past Oklahoma in today's first Big 12 men's semifinal, winning 77-49.

The game was tied at 36 early in the second half before the Longhorns pulled away.

In the first half, Oklahoma built an early seven-point lead. But the Sooners trailed 36-29 at halftime after going scoreless for the final three-and-a-half minutes of the first period.

Then Oklahoma scored the first seven points of the second half, but Texas answered in a big way.

On Sunday Texas will play the winner of today’s other semifinal between Kansas and Texas A&M for the Big 12 Tournament championship.
